The boggy stream slowly meanders through this forest, the skeletons of those whom didn’t make it creating it’s riverbed. You pass dreary trees and ferns and cliffs worn away over the ages. A small dock has been built here, a location to pick up supplies from the northland before traveling further into the woods along the now worn trade road.
The road climbs a small embankment and crosses over the stream via a natural bridge, on the other side a small toll station awaits. The king’s men collect tolls here to help maintain the road as well as pay mercenaries or other folk to help patrol it.
