Adventure Summary:
The party was hired to kill a giant toad in the Stagnant Swamp. Once they’ve found it, killed it, and received their reward, they have a chance to spend their gold and drink some beer in the tavern. It turns out that all the cash registers have been stolen in the town.
The next day, the brewer runs in and shouts that his son was kidnapped! The players are promised free beer for life if they return the brewer’s son. Through a quick investigation, the players learn that goblins kidnapped the brewer’s son and may also be behind the stolen cash registers.
The goblin tracks lead through the Foggy Forest, where they will first encounter a rich merchant whose cart is stuck in the mud. The PC’s (player characters) can rob the cart for a lot of money easily, or help the merchant push the cart out for a meager reward out of the goodness of their hearts.
The players also encounter an ogre named Gungg who ripped up his love letter to his ogre girlfriend named Deng, but now regrets it. The players can piece the love letter back together and get rewarded with the treasure chest the ogre is sitting on. The players could also kill the ogre for the treasure.
The PC’s will eventually reach the goblin hideout, a dungeon under a castle ruin in the forest. It is protected by traps and Deng the ogre. Inside the dungeon, a goblin shaman is in the middle of a sacrifice ritual. If the players don’t interfere, the brewer’s son will be sacrificed to a weakened red dragon wyrmling in the hope of befriending the beast. If the players return the brewer’s son to the town, they will be thrown a party.Price: $2.15
