100 Individuals and Groups to Meet on the Road

Publisher: Azukail GamesWhen characters are travelling between places on the roads and paths, there are going to be other travellers, groups and individuals, pedestrians and riders, on the routes as well. This supplement has 100 different travellers and groups that can enliven a journey. Some of the travellers are innocuous, some are interesting and some may be a potential threat. Others can be a potential source of adventure hooks. Small groups and individuals have all the travellers named; larger groups just the principal NPC.This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier.Here are some sample results:
Ianta Beteringay: Ianta is wearing priest’s attire and is at the head of a troupe of fourteen pilgrims. They are heading from their temple on a short pilgrimage to several holy sites in the area and are singing hymns as they approach. Ianta and their flock will stop and greet others on the road, attempting to convince them to join their religion; the pilgrims are rather pushy about this.
Indigo Mantaya: Indigo is dressed in sturdy travelling clothes and, on seeing groups of travellers on the road, will immediately offer their services as a guide. They are so over the top enthusiastic that they can often come across as suspicious, but the offer is perfectly genuine and Indigo is a skilled guide who knows the local area very well.
Innis Marn, Lothia Tiblan and Brok Cartharg: Innis is a young woman travelling with her chaperone, Lothia, and their bodyguard, the large, strong and well-armed and armoured Brok. They are not travelling far, else Brok would be leading a group of guards, but Brok is large enough, competent enough and intimidating enough that they are considered to be adequate protection. Innis’s family is wealthy and, though not noble, have the desire to enter it by marrying Innis well.
Indigaf Kolnar: Indigaf is a young priest who has just graduated from their seminary and is heading out to a distant village where they will replace the existing priest who is retiring. They have a level of enthusiasm for their faith that is only seen in the young. Indigaf isn’t a fanatic, but they are a true believer and will attempt to engage anyone they meet in a religious discussion, often in the hopes of making a convert.
Jakka Din: Jakka is dressed like a competent sellsword, which is somewhat misleading. Though they are competent and do sell their services for money, they are actually an assassin. Jakka is looking for their current target, who left the characters’ last port of call at about the same time. It’s possible that one of the characters is Jakka’s target; if not, there is a chance they might be mistaken for them.
