The Ritual Trove
This section introduces a new research location called the Ritual Trove, a hoard of mystical knowledge guarded by a greedy wyrmwraith and its undead minions. Characters seeking out new rituals might venture to the Trove and research in its stacks. The library is so vast that the odds of encountering the wyrmwraith are low… but never impossible.
The Expanded Ritualist
This section expands the Ritualist archetype from the Advanced Player’s Guide with several new feats, allowing characters to specialize and become true masters of the ritual arts.
New Rituals
This section introduces 20+ new rituals for characters to research and perform, from low-stakes magic like changing faces and copying books to world-altering powers like opening planar rifts and starting apocalypses. It also contains rules for dangerous rituals: a new type of ritual where casters come under siege by spirits, monsters, or other threats as they complete the ritual’s final incantations.
Ritual Catalysts
This section introduces a new type of magic item: ritual catalysts. Like spell catalysts, these items are consumed during rituals to radically alter their effects. The book includes 17 ritual catalysts to include in your campaigns and inspire you when creating ritual catalysts of your own.
