Seaside Mansion
There is a mansion built by the seaside, long abandoned after the original owner’s disappearance. It is said that, sometimes, at night, shadowy figures can be seen entering and exiting it. But no-one knows from whence the rumors come, and those who claim to have seen anything, often vanish themselves…
Within this mansion are two stories, although the top is decaying to the touch, and dangerous to walk on. At it’s heart is a large engraving of a skull, etched onto the floor, and stained, in places, with blood.
Were anyone to sneak inside, they would find a mysterious throne room, magical treasures, and – perhaps – a portal to another plane of existence…
Idea candy for GMs: If blood enters the circle, the skull comes alive as blue-green energy and swallows the players. Perhaps this is the portal to the lower planes.
