Publisher: Fishwife GamesGOBLIN KIN BRIGAND CLAN: NIGHT BUTCHERSA whole pile of adventuring resources packed on a mere two pages (plus cover)!
The Night Butchers is a goblin kin brigand clan that is ready to drop into most any traditional old school/high fantasy role playing campaign. Though system/game edition generic, this product offers plenty of details to help the Game Master (GM) quickly flesh out all the other “need to know” stuff. This product offers a brief background, list of brigand members, illustrated group symbol, briefly detailed cave lair, and information on the group treasure that is found in the lair. There is also a list of captured prisoners and a couple of adventure hooks. That’s right! On a mere 2 pages you get a detailed list of encounters, treasure, a map, background information, two adventure hooks, and a list of prisoners to free (and possibly have join your party)!
BACKGROUNDThe Night Butchers are a murderous clan of goblin kin butchers led by cruel but charismatic (when he so chooses) hobgoblin warrior Rhalsak. While fellow hobgoblins make up the dominant force of the clan’s ranks Rhalsak has two bugbear brutes and six goblin footmen (flunkies) who are also under his leadership. You’ll also find four non-combatants (three hobgoblin, 1 goblin) in the brigand’s cave lair. Rhalsak and the Night Butchers support their selves by raiding passing merchant caravans that appear to be weak in number. While the group is known for their murderous tendencies, hence the “Night Butchers”, Rhalsak will order the group to take captives from time to time if the brigand leader is actively negotiating with a ransom broker. The brigands will sell their prisoners to these unsavory middlemen for either coin or supplies. The group also has an on and off working relationship with a couple of fences who are willing to take their plundered valuables at a discount. Price: $2.00
