Mutated humans known as the Afflicted walk among us, but nowhere so prevalently as in the dank tunnels of the Under-City.
The wealthy live in the uppermost levels of the towering residential blocks. They rarely deign to set foot amongst the unfortunates who scrabble to eke out a bearable existence in the city below.
The aristocrats now vie for commercial supremacy, all while Victoria – the God-Queen and Eternal Monarch – reigns supreme from Buckingham Palace, her personal army manning the Wall and enforcing order within the city.
