When the Legacy recruited a handful of prospects to go through their program, they didn’t count on their entire Operation being compromised. With civil wars threatening the Gaian Consortiu, and new types of Magic manifesting themselves in different ways, the Legacy wanted to gain some semblance of control. As they had developed ways to restrict Magic use, they wanted to create a way to amplify the conduit to Universal Energy. The recruits, a cross section of the Gaian Consortiu, were trained for five years to hone their skills.
Some weeks prior to their first mission, the Legacy’s compound at Albany was attacked and all but one of the recruits were slaughtered. The Legacy launched an investigation but could not find any specific links. The fate of the lone survivor was never reported, and external inquiries from the other Clicas were also inconclusive. The entire program was written off, and the true purpose of the program, the attackers and their motive, and the whereabouts of the sole survivor remain a mystery no one has wanted to solve.
