While all of these monsters are arachnid in shape, they employ a wide array of different tactics and abilities, and some are even intelligent enough to speak, but all possess the devious cunning and clever tactics one would expect from a monstrous spider. The leafcrown spider (level 3), part plant and part arachnid, these ambush predators can camouflage themselves in foliage, and leap down on prey from above, pinning them to the ground.
The carrier spider (level 10), an immense spider capable of mentally controlling lesser vermin. It carries thousands of smaller spiders with it wherever it goes, allowing it to unleash multiple spider swarms on its foes.
The webcaller spider (level 14), huge vermin whose webs emit a mystical aura that draw weak-minded prey directly towards them, and which can hide in other dimensions to ambush its prey.
