FIRST, put in your level in the upper right, and then add your ability scores (18, 12, 9, etc. in the Ability Score text boxes and your Proficiency Bonus and all modifiers will be produced for you. Drop down boxes for weapons and damage type also help for quicker adding of weapons. Encumbrance is autocalculated, and if you do not use encumbrance, it is easy to ignore. Most of the character fluff is removed and is designed so you can have your skills and abilities at your fingertips. The file was created for my wife so she could use her laptop during play, and the top information being the most necessary. The color coding was designed to help an eleven year old child play, but it proved to be a big hit with the local players in my area and my play testers. By moving character ideals to another page, this allows quier access to your mechanics, which you will be using long after your memorized your character’s backstory and faults. I believe the majority of people will be able to use the character sheet without issue, auto calculating and printing are just a few clicks away, but those using digital devices will see an even greater case of versatility as you can auto-update on the fly.
