In such places, a magic user may practice in secret, performing rituals in basement laboratories for those who know where to look, or publicly as barely tolerated mercenaries. In others magic is commonplace and an accepted part of daily life, where a wise druid may serve as a religious leader, or a bard may gain a following as he travels from venue to venue righting wrongs along the way.  This is a collection of spells for the civilized caster, written with an eye towards use in urban environments, whether by small-town hedge wizards or high-ranking mages in service of mighty queens.
