There is a lot more to a good combat than choosing a level-appropriate encounter. The experience of the players is influenced by the context of the fight, the stakes, the environment, their luck (the rolls), and external factors such as the pizza delivery guy taking his time while the players are hungry.
As a gamemaster, you have limited control over certain aspects of the player experience, but with a solid combat plan any combat can be unique and memorable. For this reason, this beastiary does not only include creature stats, but also tactic suggestions to make the individual creatures thrive. Each creature has a weakness to make the experience more interesting, and with each creature a battlemap is included for your convenience.
