Traveler’s Guide to the Elemental Chaos

Publisher: ChamomileHasAdventuresMatched with the previous Caspar’s Guide to Elementals, this book will allow you to play as new ancestries from across all the elemental planes, like the azer, gargoyle, harpy, and sahuagin, so that you can adventure from either side of the Elemental planes. Play as any of a set of four elementally themed sub-classes for the Ranger, experts in navigating the unique challenges of a wilderness of shifting caverns or burning slopes, or one of the new elemental bloodlines for Sorcerers. First party content has picked at elemental Sorcerers in the past with a water-themed Sorcerer here and a fire-themed Sorcerer there, but they’re never made a complete set, and since I can’t reprint Unearthed Arcana in my book, I made a whole new set from scratch.
Command elementals directly with the returning Summoner class, now with four new sub-classes, one for each of the four elements. Play as an air summoner, calling up harpies, griffins, elementals, or myrmidons from the Plane of Air, or an earth summoner, commanding gargoyles and galeb duhr. At the highest level, unleash the ultimate power of a phoenix or leviathan.
Navigate the elemental planes – or places where their power has leaked into the material plane, like the Scramble – through terrifying new environmental tables that cause more and deadlier effects the more out of control the elements have become. Encounter every sort of elemental there is, from those of the classical elements themselves, to the para-elementals, like the earth/water ooze elementals or the fire/air smoke elementals, to the quasi-elementals from where the elementals blend with the dark energies of a legally distinct shadow plane or the bright power of a legally distinct fairy plane, resulting in such creatures as the radiance elemental, the void elemental, the lightning elemental, or, in honor of the renewed interest in League of Legends brought about by the recent success of Arcane, the salt elemental.
If you don’t already have concrete ideas for how to use these beasties in your campaign, the guide also comes with an outline of the Scramble, a place where the Elemental Chaos has leaked into the material plane, which can be used as part of the series’ greater Weskven setting or torn out and dropped into any campaign setting that needs a place where elemental forces have started to run out of control and elemental cults are trying to accelerate the process and destroy the world.Price: $4.99
