Characters must weather the attack, slow an invasion, navigate a ruined underground city, and finish off the malevolent entity directing the attack from the safety of its subterranean lair. However, they must also thwart the enemy’s ultimate purpose, or their efforts will be for naught.
The Nightmare Tyrant of Ur’rKar is an adventure designed for characters of the highest caliber in the Modulus system. Enemies are tough and numerous, and there is a ticking clock on victory. This adventure contains 25 new enemies, 5 traps, 7 pages of geomorphic and custom maps, and 3 sets of random tables to add detail, fill out the adventure, complicate the players’ lives, and reward victory!
How should you use this adventure? However you like! But, this would be ideally situated to kick off the end-game of your fantasy Modulus campaign. It introduces a variety of new enemies and, if your game has mostly occupied the surface of your world, this adventure can unlock the horrors beneath. Nightmare tyrants make for an excellent final enemy as they are exotic, hard-to-kill manipulators of races with inscrutable plans. Five different tyrant types are included in this adventure, and each one will uniquely shape the adventure from the very start!
