Dwarves have an affinity for stone and build massive constructions that the dwarves say is the foundation for the next layer of the world, as they believe they have been tasked with building it by the god Huge. This supplement has 36 dwarves to encounter; they could be foes or potential friends or allies. Each is named and given a brief description.
This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier.
Here are some sample results:
- Robinda: Robinda is a dwarven mercenary who left their clan for reasons they seem oddly reluctant to discuss and now works as a sword for hire around the Forbidden Lands. An examination of those jobs that Robinda has done shows that they have a definite preference for doing any kind of work where there is a good chance that the dwarf will end up fighting humans, or at least being given a good reason to do any kind of violence against them. This means that the dwarf will regularly take jobs from humans if it means they can legitimately attack another group of humans.
- Rodio: Rodio is a Meromannian dwarf who caters to their needs of their fellows for narcotic substances, using the misery, loathing and disappointment of the members of their clan to make money. The dwarf doesn’t appear to be as bothered by the loss of their home city as the other clan members are; instead, they seem to look on it as having caused an opportunity. Rodio will locate various drugs and narcotics for the other members of their clan, and not just the ones commonly used, reaching out to human criminals to supply them with new ways of getting high.
- Rygar: Rygar is a Meromannian dwarf who, like others of their clan, bemoans the loss of their city of Wailer’s Hold to demons and Alderlanders. Unlike many of their fellows, the dwarf doesn’t indulge in drink or narcotics in order to dull the pain of loss, for they are fuelled by a fiery rage directed at those who forced the clan from their home and a burning desire to get it back. Also unlike many of their fellows, Rygar doesn’t dream of returning to their home, but instead is actively planning on how to do this, making alliances and dealing with others in order to raise the necessary force.
