CORPORATION 2nd Edition QuickstartIntroduction

Welcome to “Riot in Commissary B,” the Corporation Quickstart. Within its pages, you’ll learn the basic rules of play and start your exploration of the cyberpunk world of Corporation. In Corporation, you play Agents, augmented with the latest implants, armed and licensed to resolve outstanding issues for your Corporation.

This Quickstarter provides overviews of the setting’s history, numerous corporations, information on the cities of the future, and more!

Rules

This section details a reduced selection of the rules and mechanics associated with running a game of Corporation, 2nd Edition. The system has been designed to provide a streamlined, cinematic gaming experience for everyone playing the game.

Combat

Life in 2500 is dangerous, and that’s often your fault. The rules are expanded in the Core Rulebook, but for the purposes of this Quickstart, the below is what you can expect information on and it’s more than enough for the accompanying mission.

Initiative

Who acts first can be the difference between life and death, and this section provides rules on declaring actions on in which order they’re resolved in.

Combat Rounds

During regular gameplay, it is not normally a requirement to organize the game into a rigid order of who does what first, as the fluidity of good roleplaying comes from talking that out as a group. However, when in combat, the matter of who shoots first can be the difference between life and death. To represent this, all combat situations are organized into Combat Rounds.

Attacks

This detailed section provides rules on how to resolve attacks.

Armor

Given the uncensored brutality that most Agents face, it is rare for one to go unarmoured. Whether the discreet armor of a Tailored Suit or the chunky plates of Power Armour, Armour can often mean the difference between life and death.

Hitpoints and Injuries

Where there is violence, there is death. A character’s own health is something that should be regarded as paramount. With Agents constantly facing lethal threats, it stands to reason that getting wounded may be something that everyone experiences at some point in time.

Conviction

Conviction symbolizes a character performing at their utmost, and Conviction Points add a strong cinematic feel to the game.

Character Bios

For the purposes of this Quick-Start, no specific details about the four pre-made Agents are offered. Players should be encouraged to come up with their own motivations. These might be altruistic, mercenary, patriotic, some combination of the three, or something out of left field.

Riot in Commissary B

This introductory adventure is broken into three scenes, and begins in media res, with the agents having just finished a successful Op and heading to Commissary B for a quick bite to eat. However, trouble arrives with their meals and coffee in the form of hungry and rioting residents from the Underswell flooding into the commissary. The agents will need to rally and/or evac their fellow employees and secure the Underswell Access Stairwell, but that’s only the beginning. How was the stairwell accessed, and what can be done to prevent similar encroachments?

It’s time to down your lattes and grab your guns!
