The speakeasy helped to change the United States by ushering in the notion of dating, mixing the races and sexes over drinks, and a new sense of lawlessness into the country. Many cities had thousands of speakeasies during prohibition.
This list is intended for any roaring 20’s game setting (like Gangbusters, Call of Cthulhu, etc.). Each overheard comment provides enough information to provide a bit of color to the speakeasy – whether that’s in the form of information, romance, humor, violence or intrigue.
