100 Encounters for Fantasy Hills
Publisher: Azukail GamesThis supplement has 100 encounters and events for a hilly region in a fantasy setting, those areas that are not true mountains but which are also definitely of higher elevations. They range from encounters that can be used to enhance a journey, to the odd, the dangerous and those that are potential adventure hooks. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. Here are some sample results:
Five hills make a semicircle; each hill is separated from the others and they appear to be approximately the same distance apart. The positioning is clearly unnatural.
From a distance, it looks like there is an arch in the hillside, though this is difficult to see from close up. Any arch is covered with a layer of soil and grass, and it is only from a distance that it can be seen that an arch-shaped patch is a slightly different colour.
From close up, this hill looks ordinary, but when it is viewed from a distance the various rock outcroppings and ridges appear to form an old, bearded face on the slope.
Grass covers the hills, but it is all dry and brown, and the larger plants look parched. It looks as if a small spark might easily set the ground ablaze.
Grass has been cut away from the side of the hill, revealing chalk beneath the surface. The grass has been cut into a pattern, lines about a foot wide forming a tremendous white horse.
One page is the front cover, one the front matter and most of one is ads.The supplement is also available in the following versions: Pathfinder. You do not need all versions.Price: $1.49
